In Brazil there are several kind of police forces. The
Federal Police is subordinated to Ministry of Justice, as well as Federal
Highway Police and Federal Railroad Police.

In the states there are Military Police and Civil
Police. The Military Police is responsible by ostensive policing, with an organization
similar to Army, including the training of its staff in the quarters.
MILITARY POLICE RANKS:
The Military Police acts in the streets, stadiums,
state roads, communities under threat of drug traffic gangs, protests and
others missions. The Civil Police is the judiciary police, according the
Constitution, and works in the Departments of Civil Police. Both are state
forces, subordinated to the governors. Each state pays different salaries.

VIOLENCE RISING ACROSS THE COUNTRY
21th July, 2014 - Into this car
were five hostages and part of the gang that had just rob a bank agency in Trairão, city in west of Pará state. The robbers faced the
police. The bank manager was shot and died in hospital.

In Porto
de Moz the robbers already came to the bank agency bring
hostages. After the assault the robbers compelled over 20 customers to form a
cordon while the stolen money was put in the trunk. See in the video below:

On the trail, the bandits used two youths as human
shields, one youth was put completely loose over the windshiled, and other
youth at the window, with his arms out of the car.
In São
Geraldo do Araguaia the robbery was in the dawn, and this time the
hostages were residents who were passing in the street. The robbers exploded the ATMs.
On the trail the robbers killed a teenager (photo
above) with a rifle shot in her head. She was in a car and the driver would not
have obeyed the order of stopping the vehicle.

The Civil Police says 38 banks were robbed this year
in Pará state. The number is already higher than the recorded in the last year.
Evandro Araújo, Police Chief: "Generally
the robbers choose distant municipalities of the capital, where is the
specialized police, as well as municipalities with difficult access and few
policing."
8 bank agencies from inland of Pará state remain
closed for reforms after the blasts of safes and ATMs. The residents need now to
travel to nearby towns to pay bills and to draft money. The agency from São Geraldo do Araguaia was exploded
twice and the bank has not date for reopening.
In Cuiabá,
Mato Grosso state, 35 postal workers asked work leave in this year
because of the violence. 42 bank agencies were attacked so far, most of these
from inland of the state, where lack policing. The workers' union condemns a
rule of Post Office for just attend the units after 5 robberies in the year.

In the 157 state agencies only 12 have revolving door
with metal detectors and armed guards.
Last month in Rosario Oeste an attendant was shot and she
has a bullet into yet (video below). The federal police says that has initiated inquiries and
conducted operations to detain the tide of robberies.
In São
Paulo at least in 6 cities occurred actions of violent gangs.
In the city of Garça an elderly couple was tied up and
spanked. The bandits also had put alcohol in the maid's body, intending burn
her for threaten the victims. In Bauru
five heavily armed men surrendered employees and customers in a robbery at a
supermarket (video below). One of them was arrested later.
In Lins the police arrested a suspect of
participating in the robbery of a gas station (video below) that caused the death of a
attendant, who despite not react, was shot in the back. The latest survey of
the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat reveals that were recorded almost
116,000 thefts and robberies in the inland of state just in first three months.
In Goiás
state, the thefts are more frequent, and more violent now.
In Rio Verde,
inland of the state, merchants are frightened by the growing violence. This
year already were recorded 210 thefts and robberies just in commerce, one of
the highest rates in the state. The bandits are increasingly aggressive, even
when the victim does not react. It happened in this supermarket. The owner gave
all the money, but ended up stabbed to death.

one of them hit a employee.

devising strategies to combat the thefts.
In Maranhão
state the population already is tired with the violence and
went to the streets to protest. A merchant closed the store and put this
warning below:

Pernambuco state – At 4:26 am the agency
of Santander Bank was exploded in the city of Goiana. Images from a
security camera doesn't show the vehicle used by robbers. According to police,
five men participated in the action. No one was arrested and it is not known
the amount stolen.

violence ... this absurdity, because ... we who live here in Goiana... even I
who live in a small community, I have never seen such a thing! I saw only on television. "

SEQUENCE OF EXPLOSIONS ON BANKS IN THE PARAÍBA STATE
28th July 2015 –
Five men in a car blasted a bank in the city of Juazeirinho.
The crime occurred at 2:30 am. So, the robbers fled
toward the city of Assunção.
29th July 2015 –
At 2 am a gang over 10 robbers closed the entrances to the city of São José da Lagoa Tapada, in the
backwoods. They divided themselves and attacked a correspondent banking and the
post office.

All the money
in the ATM was taken.
Despite the strong explosion, the safe of post
office wasn't broken.
Before attack, the robbers went in the streets warning
for residents not leave their homes. All the action took place in one hour.
Shot marks were in the houses and ammunition capsules in the street. This is
the second case of explosion in banks of the city, but this time the robbers
were bolder. They cornered two policemen who were on duty at the police
detachment. In the street they shot at random.

the robbers fled toward the city of Coremas. They spread cramps on the road and

30th July, 2015 – In the
third day of explosions in banks the attack was in the city of Areal. The robbers spread cramps on the PB
121 Highway near to the city of Esperança
to avoid persecution of the police.

In two cars the robbers arrived to a attendance post of
private bank in the main avenue. They damaged the protection harrow of agency using a
vehicle.
The explosives were not enough to open the drawers
with notes in the ATM and by this reason the robbers ended up breaking down the
drawers in the street even. This place had been blasted in last December. After
the fifth attack against the agency, the administrators had installed the thick
harrow and a system to loose smoke in case of explosion, but even with this
precautions, they didn’t intimidate the robbers.
The gang fled toward the city of Montadas. After this, the Police hunted the
robbers but not found them. Images of security cameras must aid the
investigations. In this year already happened 82 explosions in banks in the
state.
In Campina
Grande city, just in this year 144 gas stations were robbed, and
in this dawn happened another assault, this time in an place open 24 hours on
the Floriano Peixoto Avenue. A customer who was armed passing there shot
against the two bandits. One was hurt in the ribs and the other was hurt in the
leg. The bandit hurt in the ribs was taken to hospital and remains
hospitalized. The other got to escape. The police seized the motorcycle used by
the robbers and the fugitive continues to be persecuted yet.
At midnight on the 1st August this gas station was
again robbed. According to the police two men arrived in a black car like
customers. They asked to the attendant put 40 Reais of fuel and soon after
this, drew their guns and shot to the air to scare the employees. Some goods
were taken. An attendant who was working on the two days that happened assaults
said that will resign. According to Syndicate of attendants about 20% of employees
have resigned since last year so far.

31th July 2015 –
João Pessoa,
capital of state - an agency of Santander Bank located in the downtown was
attacked at 3:30 am by robbers, who used a blowtorch.
When they broke down the door of the agency, the
sensors sounded the alarm on place and also in the central of security, in São
Paulo. But the robbers continued to break the ATMs. When police arrived, the
thieves had already fled. The images recorded by security cameras were not
disclosed. The Bureau of Crimes Against the Property from the capital is
investigating the case.
1st August,
2015 – More 3 agencies were attacked. The first was in the
city of São Sebastião
de Lagoa de Roça, and anybody who needs to receive benefits was
prejudiced. Residents avoid talking about it. Four armed men broke the glass
door, but the alarm sounded and they didn't put the explosives. The same agency
was robbed five times according to population. Police said the robbers didn't
get to take the money.
In the city of Umbuzeiro happened a robbery committed
by 10 armed men in black cars and a motorcycle. They got blast the safe. In the
city of Aroeira
the robbery was at dawn on Saturday in the agency of Banco do Brasil. According
to police, the thieves entered through a window in the back side of bank
and they got turn off the alarm. They
spent more than an hour trying to violate the safe, which was stocked, but
something maybe scared them and fled, no
breaking the safe and carring only three guards' weapons kept at the agency.

12th August,
2015- Campina Grande city – Five suspects which form part of a
group specialized to explode banks were arrested yesterday by agents of Theft
and Robbery Department in Campina Grande. The arrest took place in the
Liberdade district and all were taken to the Penitentiary of Serrotão.

13th August, Cabaceiras city – After surrendering two watchmen of
the streets, ten robbers attacked the agency of Banco do Brasil at 01:00 am.
They broke security cameras and damaged the hard disc with the images. The
target this time was not the ATMs, but the safe. Happened two explosions to
open the safe, being the second explosion so strong that it thrown down a wall.
